The Impact
By refining the circular economy for Tungsten, we are establishing a domestic, secure, and low-carbon source for one of the world's most vital industrial and defense materials.
End-of-life cutting tools, drill inserts, and industrial wear parts collected from U.S. manufacturers.
Proprietary dissolution and purification processes convert solid carbide into tungsten-bearing chemical solutions.
Ammonium Paratungstate — the critical intermediate for all downstream tungsten products and alloys.
High-purity tungsten chemicals for defense armor, aerospace tooling, and advanced manufacturing applications.

APT (Ammonium Paratungstate) is the universal feedstock for tungsten metal, tungsten carbide powder, and specialty alloys. It is the single most critical intermediate in the entire tungsten supply chain — and Project 74 produces it domestically.
Why It Matters
Project 74 converts domestic waste streams — spent cutting tools, drill bits, and wear parts — into strategic tungsten chemicals.
No mines required. No foreign dependencies. No export vulnerabilities. Just American scrap becoming American strategic supply.
This is urban mining at industrial scale — taking what already exists in the U.S. and keeping it here.
55 years of trust. One mission:
domestic tungsten independence.

The Facility
Project 74 operates from Tungco's established facility in Madisonville, Kentucky — the heart of America's industrial corridor.
Annual APT processing capacity with room for expansion to meet defense demand surges.
Central U.S. location with direct logistics access to major defense and manufacturing corridors.
55+ years of tungsten reclamation expertise. Three generations of metallurgical knowledge.
Third-party analytical verification of all chemical products. Full chain-of-custody documentation.
Government Readiness
Project 74 is not a concept or a proposal. It is a facility with active production, existing contracts, and full federal compliance documentation.

The Urban Mining Initiative (UMI) is Tungco's strategic framework for recovering and reprocessing critical minerals from industrial waste streams. Project 74 and 74 Alloys operate under UMI as complementary arms — chemicals and metals, respectively — forming a complete domestic tungsten supply chain.
Where traditional mining goes underground, urban mining goes to work — recovering strategic resources that already exist in the American industrial ecosystem.
We produce tungsten chemicals in Madisonville, Kentucky. The plant is operational. The products are real. Come see for yourself.
